As the 20’s are quickly approaching I’d like to share one of our funnest finds with you all!
We are always on the lookout for unique, functional, and even vintage knives and scissors. However, this pair of scissors literally found us. These are a beautiful pair of vintage 1920’s barber shears that we came across this past summer. I was excited to find they still had enough steel to sharpen and have been using them to cut our family’s hair ever since.
These scissors were made in the 1920’s and they’ll still be cutting hair in the 2020’s!! Craftsmanship at it’s best.
So how did these scissors find us, you ask?
We were helping clean up trash and boxes left behind after a local area auction. As Daniel was tossing a box full of old and mildewed books into the dumpster the bottom of the box gave out, dumping all it’s contents at his feet. Low and behold this pair of German hand forged scissors was in the bottom of that box of books!
Absolutely one of our favorite auction finds of the year.
